There are so many more to thank – truly special / incredible people that we will be recognising on our anniversary.
Photographers have a great eye and often capture images of artists that we are pleased to share.
However, many also have a good ear – and when we got a note from Allan McKay saying we should listen to Amy Taylor, we took notice.
In fact, we invited Amy to play The Summer Stage at St Martin-in-the-Fields (Pictured above – photo by @antonucleo).
Everyone so loved her set, that we invited her to join the TALENTBANQ roster.
Amy is a singer / songwriter, guitarist and pianist. She has a clean sound and her original music spans a wide range of genres, drawing influences from Pop, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Country and Soft Rock.
We are proud to be presenting Amy as part of our Red Hot and Rising Series at The Green Note in Camden on September 1st.
Multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer Ian Janco‘s passion and dedication to music has taken him on quite a journey.
Born and raised in the remote wilderness of Idaho’s Rocky Mountains, Ian began making music at a young age.
His travels took him to Liverpool where he studied at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, and then onto London.
It was a meeting at Tileyard that first brought Ian to our attention. He simply said “Hey, I hear you do live music, and I play”.
That was the start of a great relationship.
Ian is now a regular performer at TALENTBANQ events, and has just been confirmed to appear on The Summer Stage at St Martin-in-the-Fields, a summer festival of rising independent artists.
It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome Ian to the TALENTBANQ roster.
TALENTBANQ invited to programme the Caffe Nero stage at The Cornbury Festival.
It’s known by many that our Chairman – Pablo Ettinger is Head of Music at Caffe Nero.
What is perhaps lesser known is the incredible support that Caffe Nero gives to independent musicians. This includes in-store playlists, live-sets at Heathrow Terminal 2 and sponsorship of a truly wonderful stage at The Cornbury Music Festival.
When the festival organisers shared that 2022 was “The Last Hurrah” we knew that the lineup had to be special.
And so from July 8th to 10th we are incredibly proud to present:
You may also see the name Ivory Pablo & The Blue Notes.
And that’s our very own Pablo Ettinger, who opens each morning with boogie-woogie jazz piano and a smile that shows just how much he loves every moment at Cornbury.
If you want to join us grab one of the few remaining tickets here.
TALENTBANQ has a tradition of recruiting interns from the wonderful community at Tileyard – and specifically the Masters Degree students at Tileyard Education.
We are very happy to continue that tradition, and welcome George Bone. George is a currently studying for his Masters at Tileyard Education, specialising in Commercial Music Production.
He is a musician in his own right, and performed for TALENTBANQ at the inaugural Tileyard Takeover of The Camden Chapel in January.
George has subsequently played The Fiddlers Elbow and will play Piano Smithfield later this year.
We were attracted by his experience in running the social media accounts for multiple societies throughout his undergraduate degree at Durham University.
When not posting on the TALENTBANQ social media accounts, you can find George travelling the country gigging, reading, and bemoaning the poor performances of the football club he supports!

TALENTBANQ is delighted to welcome Ru to the roster.
Ru is a London-based, multi instrumentalist, singer-songwriter.
Her original songs include a mix of intriguing funky rhythms, catchy pop melodies and jazz-influenced scat solos, with lyrics that deliver powerful, inspiring messages to both engage and inspire audiences.
A creative and industrious professional, Ru has performed over 1,000 live shows since 2009 at music venues, radio shows and festivals throughout the world.
She has performed at Cargo and the Troubadour in London, Festival da Canção at the Coliseum in Portugal, and the Liuna Downsview Park Festival in Toronto for crowds of over 70,000 music fans.
Ru will be appearing on the Caffe Nero stage at this year’s Cornbury festival. We will also shortly announce her very welcome return to The Summer Stage at St Martin-in-the-Fields.
With the wind in her sails from receiving three consecutive Americana Music Association UK award nominations (Album, Artist and Song of the year in 2017, 2018 & 2020 respectively), singer/songwriter Danni Nicholls has embarked upon her next artistic journey – her third studio album The Melted Morning with a new producer at the helm. Once again, Nashville, Tennessee, has played host to her musical undertaking, as the city has long held a special place in Danni’s heart.
From the honky-tonks of Broadway to the woods of Whites Creek, Nashville has become something of an adopted hometown for Danni, with the creative community warmly welcoming her presence. “My time in Music City making music with incredible musicians has been a life altering experience” she says. “It has fuelled my inspiration, forced me out of my comfort zone and pushed me to raise my game”
Over the past few years, Danni has played shows with the likes of Shakin’ Stevens (28 date UK wide tour), Lucinda Williams, Sturgill Simpson, The Secret Sisters and other notables and has been invited to perform at festivals around the world, including Cambridge Folk, Tønder, Denmark, Folk Alliance International and AmericanaFest, Nashville.
Now after two postponements Danni is excited to tour her new album as well as perform favourites from her extensive catalogue.
Abi Farrell has been described by London’s Soul Stripped Sessions as “a powerhouse and then some”, and after a simply stunning set at The Camden Chapel we had to invite her and superb accompanist Cy Atkinson to headline The Green Note.
Recently played by the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC 6 Music, Abi was raised on a soundtrack of female-driven pop, funk and soul.
Influences from the likes of Aretha Franklin, Carole King, Eva Cassidy and Chaka Khan may all be present in her music but each song is brought into the here and now by her effortlessly pure voice and lyrical dexterity.
Jenny Colquitt encompasses a unique combination of Americana, indie, folk rock and pop.
Winner of the GSMC Award for best female solo singer/songwriter 2021, Jenny’s music is described as fit for film and storytelling at its finest. A voice that uniquely combines the melodic undertones of artists such as Eva Cassidy and the rawness of Alanis Morissette. She writes with soul, lyrical vulnerability and style to accompany her musicality both through keys and guitar.
