Naiko joins the TALENTBANQ roster

Posted on November 27th, 2025 by Madara Tumovica

Naiko’s music is a raw, soulful exploration of transformation, love, and self-discovery, blending poetic storytelling with groove-driven rhythms and expansive soundscapes. His voice, shaped by gospel ensembles and choir experiences, carries an emotional depth and authenticity that draws listeners into a deeply immersive experience.

Beginning his musical journey as a drummer and backing vocalist for other artists, Naiko discovered his own voice through a period of personal challenges and introspection. These experiences prompted a spiritual awakening, guiding him toward a truth that continues to evolve and inform his artistry. Music became both a mirror and a vessel for self-expression, allowing him to translate complex emotions into sound that resonates with listeners.

Naiko’s artistry is informed by a rich tapestry of influences, from classical and jazz to neo-soul and pop. His exploration of melody, harmony, and rhythm – shaped by early experiences with African drumming, piano, and guitar – has cultivated a sound that is simultaneously intimate and expansive. Every note and lyric reflects his journey, inviting listeners to move, reflect, and connect on a deeper level.

His songs demand attention, evoke emotion, and take listeners somewhere new, creating a space where vulnerability, reflection, and joy coexist.

Inspired by artists like John Mayer, for his lyrical depth and guitar work, and Jason Mraz, for his wordplay and acoustic sensibility, Naiko fuses storytelling with musical craftsmanship.

With a sound that is both personal and universal, Naiko’s music speaks to anyone seeking authenticity, emotional resonance, and an invitation to feel fully alive. Each release is a step further into his ongoing journey of self-discovery and musical expression.

Cardiff’s most exciting independent nine‑piece band, King Cerulean, deliver a high‑energy, feel‑good fusion of pop, funk, rock and soul. What began on small open‑mic nights has grown into sold‑out venues in Cardiff and London, and high‑profile festival slots.

Blurring genres with ease, their music is driven by catchy hooks, undeniable basslines and vibrant brass, creating an irresistible, dance‑fuelled sound that lifts spirits and brings crowds together. Drawing inspiration from bands like Ripe, The Cat Empire and Red Hot Chili Peppers, King Cerulean craft songs that feel both fresh and nostalgic, leaving audiences energized and smiling long after the show ends.

High‑energy, feel‑good fusion of pop, funk, rock, and soul.

Their catalogue boasts vibrant tracks such as “Sunshine Caroline”, which blends jaunty piano and brass with irresistible optimism, “Funkidium”, a bouncy groove‑driven anthem made to move your feet, and “Wild Things”, a track that captures playful flirtation and dance‑ready energy.

Whether performing on a sun‑drenched festival stage or headlining a late‑night party tent, King Cerulean is guaranteed to bring the party. Their eclectic sound, magnetic stage presence, and ability to connect with any audience make them an unmissable addition to any lineup.

We had the pleasure of booking King Cerulean to headline Goatfest 2025, and they brought all the right energy. We’re excited to see what the future holds for such a superb band.

And the winner is…

Posted on November 12th, 2025 by Madara Tumovica

We are delighted to announce that the winner of the first Aesthetica New Music Stage is Dilettante.

On Saturday 8 November, Aesthetica in partnership with Caffè NeroImagesound, and TALENTBANQ launched the New Music Stage: a bold all-day music festival and competition showcasing 10 breakthrough acts. The line-up spanned transcendent vocals, razor-sharp rap, retro-pop anthems, and art-pop experimentation – highlighting artists destined for bigger stages.

Dilettante delivered a set that captivated both audience and jury with emotive vocals, layered textures, and commanding stage presence. Dilettante is the art-pop brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Francesca Pidgeon, based in the North of England.

Her sound veers from fuzzy guitars and looped woodwind to soft vaudeville piano ballads, with a smattering of ramshackle percussion and disjointed sax lines. She has supported Caribou, Self Esteem and Philip Selway (Radiohead), sold out headline shows across the UK and played at SXSW, Kendal Calling, Live at Leeds and The Great Escape.

Sweet Thieves London Debut at Green Note

Posted on November 4th, 2025 by Madara Tumovica

West London duo Sweet Thieves make their London debut at Camden’s beloved acoustic venue – Green Note.

Formed by lifelong friends Esme and Polly, the pair’s musical chemistry feels effortless – the kind that can only come from years of shared memories, laughter, and late-night ideas that somehow turn into songs.

Their sound blends stripped-back production with raw, unfiltered emotion – reimagining favourite tracks while carving out something distinctly their own.

Their debut single, “Tourist,” offers an intimate glimpse into their world.

Written about their return to their former school, the song captures the strange nostalgia of revisiting familiar places that now feel foreign. As it was written over the course of three years, naturally each verse reflects their shifting attitude.

Sweet Thieves are only just beginning – but already, their music feels like a secret worth stealing.

Support TBA.
