Taking her inspiration from the likes of Coldplay, KT Tunstall, and Ed Sheeran, Anouska uses a her voice, a guitar and loop station to perform live, building each songs arrangement on the spot.

Having provided support for a number of artists in recent months, Anouska made her headline debut at the Camden Chapel in Camden Town in early March 2023.

She is currently working on an EP of new material intended for a summer 2023 release. She has already wowed us with her headline gig at our venue Live at the Camden Chapel, and we have no doubt will continue to do so in the future.

Lorana joins the TALENTBANQ Roster

Posted on March 23rd, 2023 by Natalie Brundle

Lorana’s songs encapsulate a wise innocence that feels both refreshing and intriguing. Her minimal pop-sound is drenched in homemade samples, inspired by long-time influences like Bon Iver, Maggie Rogers and Lorde.

After meeting Jules Konieczny (APRE) in a pub in North London somewhere during the aftermath of the pandemic, the two started commuting between their bedroom studios and quickly finished her sophomore EP. ‘Golden’ completes Lorana’s sophomore EP ‘The Edge Of Real’. This final track is about childhood friends and the complicatedness of ever-changing relationships. It’s filled with bittersweet nostalgia.

Some of her career highlights include selling out her first ever headline show at our venue, Live at the Camden Chapel, just this February. She has also amassed 2.5M+ views across longform and short form content, as well as over 500k streams of her music.

Keep an eye out for Lorana, 2023 is set to be her year!

Gertrud Aasaroht joins the TALENTBANQ Roster

Posted on March 7th, 2023 by Natalie Brundle

London based singer-songwriter Gertrud Aasaroht is all about bringing the house down with smooth, dancey grooves and powerhouse vocals.

Growing up in a small town in Estonia, her musical dexterity was greatly influenced by the local folk and choral music. Mixing her roots with her interest in soul, R&B and jazz led to compelling and dynamic vocals that are in perfect synergy with her energetic and captivating stage presence.

Gertrud’s music is a mixture of R&B, soul, 90’s synth-funk and dance pop giving the listener a refreshing version of a blast from the past. Her lyrics are relatable, talking about the conflicts between the heart and the mind, trying to make sense of her feelings.

Having lived in London for only a few years, Gertrud has had the opportunity to sing her own original music as well as backing vocals for other artists at multiple renowned venues around London such as Islington Assembly Hall, Omeara London, The Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scott’s and The Half Moon in Putney.

Gertrud has wowed us at TALENTBANQ with performances at The Green Note and The Ned, with many more to come!

Featured on prime time BBC 2, Rachel Croft is a London based alternative artist whose voice was described as “truly exceptional” by BBC Introducing.

With a range that flows effortlessly from fierce power to deep and deadly soft, Rachel’s thunderous and cinematic works have been synced on the BBC and Netflix (Rebel Cheer Squad) as well as featured in Spotify editorial playlists Melancolia Indie and Indielandia, and premiered in leading global outlets such as CMT, Louder Than War and Fresh On The Net.
