“Ruby J is that unique voice.” – Paloma Faith, 2020
Ruby’s unique tone has led to early bold comparisons to Amy Winehouse, Macy Gray and Tina Turner, with her influences ranging Billie Holiday to Alex Turner and Poalo Nutini. Inspired to pick up a guitar at age 13 by the likes of Tash Sultana and Arctic Monkeys, a now 18 year old Ruby J has honed her live performance and her dynamic stage presence time and time again encapsulates and captivates audiences.
In her short time, Ruby J has seen some incredible career highlight, including touring with The Lathums in March 2023, performing at Balck Deer Festival, 2023. She has also been played on the radio a number of times: Radio X, Amazing Radio, XS Manchester & BBC introducing Midlands, as well as being featured on BBC Introducing… Producer Pick.
Watch out for Ruby J, her phenomenal career is just getting started.
