On April 2nd we play host to 25 year old singer-songwriter Ophelia Ray.
Described on BBC Radio as a unique and haunting artist with vocal similarities to Kate Bush, Florence Welch and Siouxie Sioux, Ophelia is trained as an opera singer and merges classical disciplines with dark folk and rock elements to create an original and other-worldly soundscape.
The Ophelia Ray band also includes concert pianist Joe Pike and guitarist Edward Bettella, bringing added intricacy to this unique trio. The overall sound has been described by BBC Introducing as being an ‘ethereal experience’ with instrumental echoes of Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac.
Following the launch of their first EP in January of this year, the band have been selling out shows and are set to play at several prestigious UK venues and festivals this summer, making their London debut Live at The Camden Chapel!
