Intimate melodies from Cape Town: Isla Sutherland and Stanley Sibande LIVE at The Camden Chapel | An acoustic ‘listening’ music venue operated by TALENTBANQ
After performing together previously in Cape Town, South Africa at various singer-songwriter music events, Isla Sutherland and Stanley Sibande are proud to be playing live for the first time at the legendary Camden Chapel in London on 11th July 2024 from 7pm which is powered by the incredible folks at Talentbanq.
First up on the night, and embarking on his debut July 2024 UK tour, will be Zambia-born singer-songwriter Stanley Sibande.
Opening up about struggles with mental health and his daring move from Zambia to South Africa with just a guitar, Stanley’s music reflects his journey and inspires others to pursue dreams despite challenges. From singing along with his sister to forming alternative bands during school, Stanley transitioned from Electrical Engineering to full-time music after university.
Recognized for soulful performances in Cape Town, he brings his authentic sound to the UK, captivating audiences with searing and beautiful songwriting.
”It’s searing, raw, and cuts to the core, but it does so with such searing authenticity and weighted emotion that it carries off as utterly beautiful – a remarkable feat in honest songwriting.” ~ Skye Mallac (Texx and the City)
Wrapping up the night with elegance, New York-born singer-songwriter Isla Sutherland promises to enchant the audience with her soothing vocals, honest lyrics, and infectious energy.
Currently pursuing a master’s at Imperial College London, the 23-year-old artist, known for captivating performances in South Africa, has already made waves in London’s music scene, winning local open mic competitions.
