Women in Jazz Media presents: Kicking Down The Door

EFG London Jazz Festival: Kicking Down The Door

As part of the EFG London Jazz Festival, Women in Jazz Media presents an all-star lineup featuring five of the leading female jazz musicians on the UK scene.

Together for one night only in the atmospheric Crypt celebrating female empowerment in Jazz.

An Evening in Two Sets

The opening set will feature a mesmerising and boundary-pushing collaboration between two exceptional musicians, saxophonist Hannah Horton and harpist/vocalist Tara Minton.

Blending the rich, soulful tones of Hannah’s saxophones with the ethereal beauty of Tara’s harp and voice, this duo offers a fresh and unexpected perspective on straight ahead jazz. Their repertoire moves effortlessly between reimagined standards, folk-infused melodies, and stunning original compositions.

The 2nd set sees all five playing together,  a compelling combination of original material and standards. Expect to be inspired by the technical virtuosity and energy on stage.

As this is part of the EFG London Jazz Festival don’t be surprised if special guests join on the night !
