Launched in 2007, 229 is a multi-purpose entertainments venue which has played host to many gigs, club nights, awards ceremonies, comedy and fashion events, gala dinners and weekend festivals.
Managed under the umbrella of the charity, International Students House (ISH), 100% of the profit made by 229 goes directly back to support their mission. 229 believes that every young person should have the opportunity to succeed whatever their background.
Together with their university partner and supporters, 229 provides scholarships opportunities, a home and social programme to enable students to succeed while giving them a place to belong.
