About Oscar Corney

Oscar Corney is an independent singer songwriter from Cambridge. Having drawn from a wide range of influences he has developed a songwriting style and unique voice. As a consistent performer, Oscar continues to gig across the UK and has had the opportunity to support some big acts; JP Cooper (Island Records), St Paul & The Broken Bones (Single Lock Records), Lucy Spraggan, Hunter & The Bear and The Dunwells to name a few. Alongside his solo work, gigging both acoustic and band shows, Oscar has collaborated and released singles with electronic artists Keeno (Hospital Records), Moe Aly (Sony Music) and Cumminz (Vibe Collective).

The success of his first EP and the release of a debut single in 2016, both featured on BBC introducing, gained him recognition and sets at festivals such as The Secret Garden Party. He won Best Male Solo Artist at the NMG awards and was the Acoustic Magazine ‘Retune Your Ears’ Featured Artist in 2016.

In recent months, Oscar has focused on songwriting, recording and collaborating, and is working towards his single releases in 2018, securing gigs and festival slots across the country to widen his audience in preparation for the release of new music.
